There’s a chance you’ll have forgotten about it by now, but last term’s Black and White was a little different. I moaned about the last one for very little reason, so it’s only really fair to say this one was better (although that implies that something stated on this blog means something, which it pretty much doesn’t). It looked really good (though why weren’t there more page numbers) and the content was a bit better (not great – but not awful – back to what most of us expect). Anyway, I heard someone (two people, actually – separately) call it a ‘triumph of style over substance’ which isn’t unfair, but it got me thinking about this blog (except that this isn’t really a triumph of anything). There is very little reason for this to be filled with links to other stuff on the internet – we’ll probably still do that, but it isn’t really what this should be for. This term we should have more events, which means that there will be more actual ODDsoc stuff to blog about. The content will be a little more relevant to what we do – there may even be original work (although that’s fairly unlikely). In the future, we hope to actually link what happens up here to what’s going on in the real world – we would have done this already but there’s been a slight lack of events.
Sorry about the naval-gazing – it’s probably not a great idea to be so self centred when you have so little to centre yourself about. Apologies. You’ll still keep reading, though, right? (both of you…)
